Add an exam, deadline, or event

Give the countdown a name, choose the target date and time, then save it. Your saved countdowns stay in this browser.

Use any name. It does not have to be an exam.

Your countdowns

Multiple countdowns can run together. Edit, duplicate, complete, or remove them anytime.

How to use this tool

  1. Write a clear countdown name, such as Semester Exam, Project Submission, Admit Card Deadline, Trip, or Family Work.
  2. Select the target date and time. If the exact time is unknown, choose a practical time like 09:00 or 23:59 and edit it later.
  3. Add a short note if you want context, such as syllabus target, room number, form link reminder, or what to carry.
  4. Save the countdown. Multiple countdowns can run together and update while the page is open.
  5. Use the focus view when you want a clean large timer. The focus view intentionally does not show PYQora branding or a site logo.

What this countdown can track

A countdown timer shows the remaining time before a selected date and time. Students can use it for semester exams, internal tests, assignment submissions, project demos, viva dates, admit card release dates, registration deadlines, or daily preparation targets.

It is not limited to exams. You can also create a countdown for travel, appointments, family work, events, birthdays, document submission, or any personal reminder where a visible remaining-time view is useful. The title is user-defined, so the tool does not assume the event type.

How saved timers work

Saved countdowns are stored in the browser using localStorage. This means the timer list can remain available when you close and reopen the page in the same browser. You can edit, duplicate, complete, delete, or clear timers without creating an account.

If the target date is in the past, the timer shows that the time has been reached. This is intentional because some users may keep old countdowns as records or duplicate them for similar future events. You can delete completed or old timers whenever you do not need them.

Limits and reminders

This is a browser-based countdown, not a native Android, iOS, or Windows widget. It cannot automatically place itself on your phone home screen or laptop desktop. If your browser supports install, shortcut, or pinned tab features, you can use those browser features to open the tool faster.

The countdown updates while the page is open. Browser sleep mode, battery saver, background tab throttling, or device time changes can affect visible updates. For critical deadlines, use official reminders, calendar alarms, or phone alarms in addition to this tool.

Privacy and saved data

This countdown timer does not need an account or database. Countdown titles, dates, times, notes, completion status, and edit state may be saved only in this browser using localStorage. The tool itself does not upload your countdown list.

If you clear browser data, use private browsing, change devices, or open another browser, saved countdowns may not be available. Avoid writing sensitive personal information in countdown names or notes if you are using a shared device.

Countdown timer FAQ
