About PYQora
More than just a PDF repository, PYQora organizes PYQs and college insights in one clean place.
1. The Story Behind PYQora
Hi, I'm Divyansh Gupta, the Founder of PYQora, pursuing my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, graduating in the batch of 2028. PYQora was born out of a very real, everyday struggle that almost every college student faces: finding the right Previous Year Question (PYQ) paper at the last minute.
I noticed that finding PYQs for your exact college, branch, and semester was incredibly difficult. While some seniors kindly created GitHub repositories or small websites, they were often limited to just one specific branch, or they eventually stopped updating them.
I realized that if students at my college were struggling to find and manage these papers, students across other colleges must be facing the exact same problem. That’s when the idea struck—why not build a centralized platform where students from multiple colleges can find their semester-wise PYQs easily?
2. How We Evolved
I started coding this website entirely on my own as a personal project. Initially, the plan was just to host college PDFs. However, to make the website truly helpful (and to ensure search engines could understand and rank our pages properly), I began adding detailed, readable text.
This small SEO requirement turned into a major feature! We started adding comprehensive college insights—campus life details, admission processes, seat matrices, and cutoffs. Along the way, I thought, "Why stop at colleges?" So, we expanded to include chapter-wise curated PYQs and guidance for CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board students as well.
What started as a solo coding endeavor has now grown into a public academic resource. While I still handle the development, I am incredibly lucky to have a small, dedicated team that helps me manually curate, verify, and improve the PYQs and college details.
3. What We Actually Do
- For College Students: We organize exact, semester-wise and branch-wise PYQs for specific colleges. Alongside this, we provide practical college insights to help juniors and aspirants understand the campus better.
- For Board Students: We manually curate Class 10 and 12 PYQs chapter-wise, saving school students the hassle of sifting through massive unsorted documents.
4. Our Data Authenticity
We believe in transparency. Here is where our data comes from:
- Cutoffs & Admission Data: Gathered meticulously from official counseling websites (like UPTAC, JoSAA, or specific university portals).
- Campus Life & Environment: To keep the ground reality authentic, details about college fests, environment, and daily life come directly from current students or passed-out alumni. We add exactly what the students studying there tell us, or what we receive through our contribution form (which we carefully verify). If multiple students share the exact same feedback about a campus, we consider it a verified fact and include it.
- College PYQs: Sourced directly from our strong network of students currently studying in those colleges.
- Board PYQs: Hand-curated and arranged chapter-wise by our team to make board revision easier.
5. Community Powered (Contribute & Earn)
PYQora survives on the spirit of seniors helping juniors. Any student can contribute to our database by submitting authentic PYQs or college details. You can submit your resources directly via our Contribution Form or by emailing us at contactpyqora@gmail.com.
While all submissions are manually verified by our team, we occasionally offer small monetary rewards as a token of appreciation for highly authentic and valuable contributions.
6. Our Vision & The Road Ahead
Right now, PYQora features a limited number of colleges and specific subjects for board exams. However, our vision is vast. As the platform gains response and our team grows, we plan to continually add more colleges, branches, and board chapters.
Our core mission is to keep this structured data accessible to students. We intend to keep the majority of PYQora absolutely free, adapting our model only if circumstances require it to keep the servers running and the project alive.
Built by a student, for the students. If you find our work helpful, share it with your juniors and classmates! If you notice missing files or want to help us grow, please reach out via our Contact Page.
